Named after the English city of Brighton and Hove, Brighton was part of the city of Cambridge for much of its history, earning it the moniker of “Little Cambridge”. Brighton was officially annexed into the city of Boston in 1874, and is now a thriving, vibrant community catering to the hip and trendy.

 

Boston University and Boston College bookend the neighborhood, Brighton is easily accessible via the Green Line, one of the oldest and most iconic transit routes in Boston. 

 

The area has many restaurants and bars catering to young professionals, and popular destinations include Artesani Park, Chestnut Hill Reservoir, and McMullen Museum of Art.
